Intensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Program

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is more intensive than traditional outpatient programs and is designed to achieve short-term stabilization and resolution of immediate problem areas. The patient and family are offered services by a team of professionals. The patient is enrolled in a time-limited program with others working on similar issues. The treatment team may include licensed therapists, nurses, program specialists and a physician.

Advantages of IOP:

  • Individual lives at home
  • Sessions may be conducted while the individual continues to go to work
  • Individual therapy is augmented by group therapies specific to the patient’s needs
  • Frequency of attendance is determined by the individual’s specific needs
  • IOP services are available during the day and evening to accommodate patients’ schedules
  • Transportation accessibility should never act as a barrier to receiving treatment. Call us at 800-777-5722 to discuss transportation options.

Transitions Program

Transitions is an Intensive Outpatient therapy group that meets four days per week to address the needs of clients with chronic mental illness. A typical client has experienced multiple interventions by medical professionals, emergency personnel and/or law enforcement. Our goal is to help clients obtain a more meaningful and independent life.

Transitions focuses on:

  • Medication education and compliance
  • Practical life and social skills
  • Reducing inpatient hospitalizations
  • Increased level of independent living
  • Case management

Group meets Monday through Thursday.
Lunch is provided.
