Children between ages 5 and 12 with emotional or behavior
problems benefit from group and activity therapies that help
develop a positive self-image and healthy social and
communication skills. We encourage family members to
participate in the process to ensure each child has support
beyond our services. To ensure academic credits are not lost
during hospitalization, our teachers are equipped to deal
with a wide range of unique educational needs.
Emphasis is placed on the
identification of harmful behaviors and on gaining insight
into the emotions behind the actions. Through this discovery
process, the patients learn to accept responsibility for
their individual behavior and develop healthy modes of
interaction with others.
The child's transcripts do not reflect that a portion of the
education was received in our setting.
